We have so many crossword puzzles and answers here at Spelling Words Well! Are you ready for this crossword challenge? Read the clues for 20 difficult vocabulary words. Carefully choose a word for each clue that fits into the diagram. Also think about the correct spelling of each word.
As you begin to fill in the grid, the letters you provide will give you clues to more and more words. Work your way back and forth between the crossword diagram and the clues until the puzzle is complete. Check out many of my other crosswords, too, listed at the bottom of this page.
Here's a look at the page. Please get the printable version for best results. Work in pencil in case you need to change an answer. Hint: The first letter of each answer is provided at the end of each clue.

Assign students to work in pairs to complete one or more of these tasks.
1. List 2 synonyms for at least 3 of the answer words in the puzzle.
2. List 2 antonyms for at least 3 of the answer words in the puzzle. This may not be possible for some words.
3. Write separate sentences for at least two of the words in the puzzle.
4. Use 5 words from the puzzle in the same paragraph.
